2000’s Class Notes


Wendy (Wedo ’95) FitzHenry received her Masters of Arts in Humanities from California State University, Dominguez Hills in May, 2007. Ms. FitzHenry’s thesis, “Motivating Factors in the Benevolent Treatment of Slaves in the Antebellum South,” was nominated for Thesis of the Year at the university.

Amy AlkireIn May 2007, Amy (Kohrs ’00) Alkire completed her Master of Education in Secondary Education with Distinction through Northern Arizona University. She teaches 7th grade Language Arts and 8th grade Fine Art at Christ Lutheran School, Phoenix, Ariz.

Amy KlineAmy Klein (’00) married Tom Medeiros on Aug. 6, 2006, in Greenwood, Ind. Amy is currently pursuing an M.A. in Counseling at Columbia International University in Columbia, S.C., where Tom is finishing a Master of Divinity. After Amy completes the licensure process for counseling, the couple plans to serve overseas as career missionaries.

Sarah (Riesgraf ’02) Sprengeler graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine in May 2007 and began her three-year residency in July at Duluth Family Practice in Duluth, Minn.

Sarah BolineJamie Boline (’03) married Brandon Petermann on March 31, 2007, at Wigwam Golf Resort in Litchfield Park, Ariz. Jamie and Brandon spent their honeymoon at St. Lucia in the Virgin Islands. The couple lives in Phoenix and works for the Scottsdale Police Department. Jamie serves as a police communications dispatcher, and Brandon is a police officer.

Jaclyn (Gronbach ’03) Ohmann was married to David Ohmann on March 16, 2007.

Tiffany GingoldTiffany Gingold (’04) and Todd Nickel celebrate their two year wedding anniversary July 22. Tiffany works as a preschool teacher at Especially for Children, and Todd is a vending technician for Thesen Vending Company. Their son, Zachary, will turn two years old on Aug. 13.

Faith (Craig ’04) Rattei recently was featured on Willow Creek Association Leadership Summit’s website. She is part of a snapshot video that explains her role and challenges as a Director of Christian Outreach at New Life Lutheran in Hugo, Minn. The commercial promotes a Summit leadership conference, held in Chicago in August 2007, by featuring past Summit attendees. The videos feature past Summit attendees. Lyndsey (Gagas ’05) Vandenberg was elected to be on the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Student Assembly Board of Directors as the National Student Delegate for the 2006-2007 school year. Elections took place at the National Student Assembly in Dallas, Texas with over 1,700 other physical therapy students from around the country attending. Over the next year, Lyndsey will be attending five national APTA meetings from around the United States and in May she will be in Washington, D.C., speaking to the APTA Board of Directors on behalf of all physical therapy students in the country. Lyndsey is currently working toward her Ph.D. at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

Olivia Mulvey (’06) returned to campus with a fascinating art exhibition titled “Enlisted: A Look at Military Base Life.” Mulvey received a Bush Foundation Grant to do a photo documentary depicting life as a U.S. Marine on a base in Hawaii. She lived on the base for one month to capture images that tell a compelling story. Mulvey’s photographs are on display in galleries across the country. Olivia currently works at the newly opened Boston Museum of Contemporary Art.
