1950’s Class Notes

Rev. Dr. Alvin (’52) and Sylvia Franzmeier (’56) celebrated Alvin’s 50th anniversary of Holy Ordination on June 10, 2007. Dr. Franzmeier graduated from Concordia University, St. Paul in 1952 and enrolled in Concordia Theological Seminary, St. Louis in the fall. Alvin holds a Master of Divinity degree, a Master of Theology, Doctor of Religion, as well as being a licensed marriage and family therapist. Starting in 1968, he accepted a call as Dean of the Chapel at CSP, where he served for three years. In 2004 he published his first full-length novel, “The Spiral Bridge.” Since then, he has completed a sequel, “The Twins,” and is currently at work on the third in the series. Al and Sylvia reside in Spring, Texas, and escape to their second home in Pagosa Springs, Colo., as often as possible.
