Senior defensive tackle Eric Power was named first-team all-Northwest Region by Don Hansen’s Football Gazette for the second straight season and was also a D2Football.com all-region second team selection. Power earned all-NSIC first team honors for the second straight season and was a nominee for the Gene Upshaw Award for Lineman of the Year. He ranked 28th in NCAA Division II in tackles for loss (1.5 per game) and finished the season with 52 tackles (31 solo), 16.5 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks and recorded a safety.

Rachel VitenseSenior Rachel Vitense finished her Concordia soccer career as the school’s all-time leader in goals in a season, with 10 goals in both 2003 and 2004, and a career with 28 goals. She also set the school record in assists for a career with 25, after leading the team with 10 this season. She finished her career with a school-record 81 points. Vitense was named to both the NSIC all-tournament team and was second team all-Region this season.

Maggie McNamaraFreshman setter for Bears Volleyball Maggie McNamara was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) National Freshman of the Year, dishing out 15.09 assists per game, and was named Freshman of the Year for both the NSIC and the North Central Region. She also set a new national record for assists in a season with 1,977, breaking the NCAA Division II record of 1,972 held by Kellie Haire of Presbyterian College.

Amanda BehnkeAmanda Behnke, the Women’s Basketball NSIC Player of the Year in 2006-07, dominated the league as she led Concordia to win 20 of their final 23 games.The Bears stormed to NSIC regular season and tournament titles with Behnke churning out a league-high 17.2 scoring average while pulling down 8.2 rebounds per night. The three-time NSIC Player of the Week closed out her season with a school single season record of 551 points and 171 free throws made. She had 10 double-doubles and seven games with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds.
