Poehler Lecture Features Dr. Stephen Stohlmann
Diversity in faculty, student body and curriculum has caused many changes in Lutheran higher education, asserted the Rev. Dr. Stephen C. Stohlmann as the honored speaker for the Sixth Annual Poehler Lecture Series, which explores how faculty connect their Christian faith with their academic discipline.
Despite the changes, Stohlmann said, a Lutheran education must remain a holistic education concerned with the pursuit of knowledge, wisdom and truth all in the context of the Gospel and the resurrection.
The Poehler Lecture Series is funded by charitable gifts from Ted Trembath, and Robert and Elisabeth Trembath, and through contributions from other benefactors.
