Condolences

To the family of Rev. Norman F. Spomer (’42), who passed away peacefully in his home on Jan. 26, 2007. Spomer’s first congregation was in Saskatchewan, Canada, followed by congregations in North Dakota and Wisconsin. He retired from Christ Lutheran Church in Eagan, Minn., but continued to serve as an interim and guest pastor in many congregations. Recently, he rejoiced in performing the baptism of his second great-grandchild.

To the family of Manford Till (’49), who passed away from cancer on July 12, 2006. He was 74.

To the family of John Luther Beisel (’55), who unexpectedly died of heart failure on Dec. 3, 2005. He was a house counselor in one of the residence halls while a student at Concordia. John was a faithful servant to the Lord throughout his entire life.

To the family of Rev. Martin H. Kretzschmar (’70), who entered the kingdom triumphant on March 6, 2007.

To the family of Dwight Emerson Wallington, whose passing on Jan. 3, 2007, at his home in Waxahachie, Texas, is mourned by his wife, Clara (Cole ‘70) Wallington, and family. Dwight was born March 22, 1939, in Toledo,Ohio, and married Clara on Dec.17, 1988. He served in the U.S.Navy aboard the U.S.S. Saratoga, authored several books and was owner/operator of Windsor House Publishing Group.

To the family of Kurt Schunck (’76), who passed away on Jan. 10, 2006. He is remembered by many loved ones, including his wife, Bunnie (Otto ‘76) Schunck.

To the family of Lukas Robert Johnson, infant son of Scott (’95) and Lisa (Cisewski ‘97) Johnson, who went to be with his Savior and friend, Jesus, on Oct. 23, 2006.
