Softball
Third baseman Amanda Yurek (St. Paul,Minn.), a senior in 2006-07,was selected as the NSIC Player of the Year by league coaches as she tore up the NSIC, hitting .412 in 60 games with 20 doubles, a triple, nine homeruns and 38 RBI. She had a team-high .674 slugging pct. and .456 on base pct.,while displaying a fantastic glove and one of the strongest throwing arms in the league at the hot corner.
Baseball
First baseman Erik Quarberg, the 2006 NSIC homerun champion, made history for the Golden Bears as he set career records for most homeruns (32),RBI (150) and doubles (39). He closed out his Concordia career with a .372 career average and .730 slugging pct., while amassing a .469 on base pct. and displaying a solid glove at first base.
Track & Field
Kyle Warren, a senior in 2006-07, became the first male athlete in Concordia history to qualify for the NCAA Division II National Championships in Emporia,Kan. Warren competed in the 800 meter run and finished his heat in 1:55.32, just missing qualification for the finals. He holds the school record in the event with a personal best time of 1:51.51 and holds 10 records total in the indoor and outdoor seasons.
